Music Headshots
Music artist headshots are the perfect tool for marketing yourself. You need a high quality photo to make the most of these headshots, which is why Michael Pinder came to me to take these music headshots. It’s always fun working with a fellow artist because there are always some incredibly creative ideas that come out during the process. These are just a few of my favorite shots from this music artist headshots session that we did with Michael.
This is such a classic rock and roll image, with a musician and his trusty guitar with a brick wall background. The contrast between the background and his outfit really helped him to stand out in this image. Sometimes it’s the more subtle images that can have the biggest impact.
Here is Michael sitting in this alley with his guitar carefully placed on him. These casual poses are always great things to have in your collection because they are inviting. As a musician, you want people to feel welcome and invited to your shows.
Again, this is a classic shot of Michael casually sitting down, but this time he is enjoying playing away on his guitar. These are quiet shots that help show the passion and love a musician has for their music.
One of the best parts of this photograph is the location where it was shot. The area was such a beautiful area that seemed to blend an industrial look but the beauty of nature. Even out of focus in the background, you can get a great feeling about the solace of this type of location. Michael is captured naturally walking in this area, giving a feeling of thoughtfulness that happens when we are out in nature.
This headshot is a great one to show off Michael’s pensive nature. He’s lost in thought in this photograph and the sunglasses offer a bit of that mystery that musicians are known for.
It’s always so fun when you get the opportunity to get those city shots in your images. Here you have Michael leaning against a storefront, playing his guitar while looking off into the distance. This is another image that shows the pensive nature of the musician.
Music is about having fun. Michael is here laughing while walking the streets with his guitar. This is a happier side of this pensive artist.
Michael is holding his guitar case with this beautiful street shot. He’s smiling away, showing off how music makes him truly happy.
The sun is setting on the city but that helps make this stunning shot possible. The lights shining in the background as Michael leans against the wall with the storefronts and walkways in the background.
It’s always so great to work with Michael because I love to let his artistry shine in our photographs. It’s a careful balance of musical pensiveness and lightheartedness that needs to be displayed in these photos, but I think that I made it all come together in these photos.
