Art and Lacey Hitched!

Art and Lacey tied the knot in a casual country wedding with rustic vintage flair and southern blue accents. Family traveled in for this special day that just happened to be one of the few sunny, but sightly overcast days in winter. Perfect weather for cooking their comfort food and barbecue outside. Still thinking of that BBQ as I write this, delicious, my compliments to the cooks.

Art and Lacey have been my dear friends for a long time and I’ve been enjoying them serenading me over the years. Both are awesome vocalists and talented musicians. It’s heaven to hear Lacey’s angelic voice while Art plays his acoustic guitar and then chimes in for their elegantly coordinated duet performances. Breathtaking. Words cannot even do this justice because these two are so amazingly talented. The fabulous duet plans to take their show to the next level and will move to Nashville this fall.

I still remember the day I met Lacey, she was about twelve-years-old and would come over and visit with me and my brother. Over the years we sort of grew up together and then lost touch for a little while. Probably because my bother and I changed schools. Not too much time later we were both adults and I sat right next to her in one of my college lecture halls, we both looked over and recognized each other right away. It was fate. We ended up having quiet a few classes together so we were bound to be reunited at some point regardless.
It was just meant to be that we were in the place at the same time.

We really went through some tough challenges where we had group assignments and other people were not pulling their weight. Our bond became closer when we each had to pick up the work of three or four of our classmate who did not come through for the team.
One group started with eight and three of us ended up preparing and presenting.

We had lots of late nights and strategic meetings to keep the projects going. I’m so glad I had Lacey and our friend Mike to work through that challenging time. I couldn’t have completed that class without them, we really needed a team for all that work we did. They are both hard workers, and I am extremely grateful to have had them as partners.

After all we’ve been though I will sure miss Art and Lacey and the treat of hearing them live. There’s nothing like indulging and getting absolutely lost in their music. I wish them the very best, they will be missed!!
