Wedding Photography
I was absolutely delighted to attend (and photograph) Rachel and Colm’s wedding. It was such a beautiful celebration and the happy couple were both fantastic clients. After such a wonderful big day I can only wish them the happiest of lives together. They certainly kicked it off to a good start! And the wedding photography shows it!
Definitely one of my favorite moments from the preparations. Rachel had this little one on her lap the whole way through hair and makeup – but of all the doggy shots I feel like this, off-the-cuff moment just perfectly captures the love in both their eyes.
Of course; we had to capture that expression when Rachel realized it was time. There is such brilliant light in the dressing room and she just looks fresh and vibrant and lovely. Sometimes the happiness in a photograph is capable of speaking for itself.
When the whole squad gets ready to take the wedding by storm…
Things were starting to get exciting backstage pre-wedding. These beautiful bouquet shots give a sense of Rachel and Colm’s color scheme, while also making the most of that ring. The best part of this shot is how natural the girls are with one another.
Rachel was fitting the garter and we had this simultaneous moment of realization that it would make an excellent shot. I think we were right.
Not forgetting the handsome groom on his big day; the groomsmen looked suave in matching suits so we took it outside for some placed shots. It made a nice effect and they were lucky enough to have a beautiful day for it!
And for the big reveal; Rachel looked absolutely perfect in her gown. So much so that we took some garden shots. I particularly loved the grace and elegance of this shot, the bouquet against the garden is such a lovely color burst.
And this breathtaking shot was when we were trying to take a serious photograph but Rachel just couldn’t contain her smile. A little off-guard moment that really brings home the feelings of the day.
The brightness and greenery adds a natural element to this shot that is emphasized by the couple’s naturalness with one another. Happiness, excitement, hope… it is all captured and frozen in time for their future selves to look back on.
The big moment – standing up n front of friends and family and declaring your love for one another. It brought a tear to my eye, but I’m sure I wasn’t the only one. The use of the clear aisle here was what made the shot, linear parallels always make for nice, natural, framing.
You may kiss the bride! I love wedding photography. Congratulations Rachel and Colm, many happy returns to a sincerely special couple!
