Barnes & Noble Signing

Here is a great image of my customer as he talks to his guests as he shows them his newly released interactive cookbooks. You can clearly see the passion that he has for his work in this image. He is showing his books, giving these excited customers a look at the features in his cookbooks. The best part about release parties and book signings is that it gives readers the opportunity to meet and talk to the author about their books, and even get a signed copy personalized just for them. This gives an opportunity to see what their favorite recipes are and the inspiration behind these delicious, fun and healthy recipes. As you can see, lots of laughing and happiness because that is what sharing food is all about.

In this other image, you can see both of these amazing cookbooks being proudly displayed. So many happy customers came out who are ecstatic to be trying these new recipes as a way to not just live a healthier life but to enjoy a happier experience of preparing meals as a family activity. My customer wanted to capture the excitement of these buyers to help show this truly special cookbook release. Everyone will enjoy these books and the food as much as he enjoyed sharing these healthy recipes with these wonderful families.

It was such a pleasure to get to photograph this awesome event. Capturing the look of joy on everyone’s faces is what makes me love being a photographer, really nothing replaces human emotion. There is such an expression of humble pride my customer exuded as he signed his books, something he worked a long time to accomplish and have published. He seemed to enjoy engaging with readers as they looked through his book and answering any questions that they had about these cookbooks.

One of the best parts of my job is being at such important milestones/occasions for my clients. I get to see their every smile and expression of joy. This was a momentous occasion that needs to be captured. It is important to remember, especially at occasions like book signings, that the readers are as important as the author.  As you can see, the focus of my images is on the interactions between the author and the readers for this very reason. I was honored that my customer asked me to help him by photographing this special moment for him. These images are great examples of what makes book signings such incredible moments for everyone involved.
