Birthday Photos
It’s not every day that your baby’s first birthday comes around. This special time sneaks up on us way too quickly and goes by in a flash. Documenting this fun little milestone is a way for us to hold on to our little one for just a while longer and share the memories with them when they’re older. For sweet Liana’s celebration, we wanted to capture every single detail. From guests, to snacks and party favors, right down to the irresistibly cute moments during the first taste of cake, we didn’t miss a thing. We will cherish these adorable images for years to come.
The Theme
Our darling girl is one of a kind, so unicorn decorations seemed only fitting. Soft purple, light blue and baby pink were the main colors in focus with an obvious inclusion of sparkles and gold. Floral collages covered the wall as a border for shiny balloons spelling out “one” to mark the day. White pillar candles were adorned with glitter butterflies, and intricate bird cages were the backdrop to the girly party accessories of which there were no shortage for the little lady of the hour. Party hats, miniature crowns and unicorn headbands were all in rotation. Liana’s birthday photos were made even more enchanting due to her precious white tulle dress that was seemingly created just for her. The fairytale was complete with elegant accents of golden fixtures and food platters. The tri-colored balloons tied everything together to make this an unforgettable celebration with friends and family.

The Food
The delicate snacks were quite possibly the best thing about our event. The cutest sprinkled cake pops alongside the pretzel sticks dipped in white chocolate and dyed with our party colors were a major hit. Fresh fruit on a pristine serving dish was a wonderful focal point that brought everything to life. Sweet pink parfaits were encapsulated in shiny gold and an assortment of teeny cupcakes sat beautifully in their matching wrappings on a classy tower. The custom white floral cake was the ultimate centerpiece with its sparkling topper. Our angel even made digging into her dessert with bare hands look graceful! She was so gentle about the whole thing, until she curiously grabbed for the candle. Thankfully, it mostly just scared her. She had a good cry, but the tears were quickly absolved by the taste of more icing.

The Guests
Liana is loved both deep and wide. As a result, we were surrounded by numerous friends and family on this perfect day. Grandma couldn’t get enough of the princess and neither could anyone else for that matter! Sweet cousins, doting aunts and uncles, and neighborhood friends came in spades. They brought special themed gifts and the cutest personalized cards. Big sis never left the birthday girl’s side and was so excited to celebrate her. We feel so lucky to be part of such an amazing herd of humans and we are so grateful to everyone who attended and helped us make this a day to remember.
