Dry Creek Elementary School Gala
The Dry Creek Elementary Gala is an annual event put on by the Dry Creek Elementary PTA. This year’s event was one of the best ever and is extra special because it is one of the last they will have.
The Dry Creek Elementary School will soon be a K-8 program, and I was on hand to do professional photography for this event and document the highlights of the event.
It is a very exciting time for the schools, kids, parents and teachers. The plan is to merge Dry Creek Elementary with Creekview Ranch Middle School and the two PTA organizations will be merging as well.
The sponsor list was impressive and there were some great organizations helping out: Winco Foods, Bunz & Company, Denio’s and Morgan Creek Golf Club of Roseville were all the biggest sponsors.
The current budgetary cut in the California school systems means fundraising is vital to success. With this event, 100 percent of the money raised went to the school for the library, supplies and academic enrichment programs. It is a strong hope that this will continue with the new unified school.
The event featured a silent auction, appetizers, desserts and a raffle. DJ Milestone played all the latest music for those who wanted to dance. Kelly and Cynthia Nair, part of the PTA, sponsored the photo booth, and this is where everybody got to dress up in very silly costumes. It was great getting candid photographs and a few posed ones of the costumes as well. Everyone who attended had a great time with lots of support for some fabulous kids in our community.
As the summertime winds down, it is getting close to time for your Christmas family cards. Be sure to book early as my slots for sitting will fill and fill fast, I look forward to working with you.
