Special Event: Meet and Greet Brandi Glanville
As a small town photographer, it is a real honor to have the chance to work with celebrities and famous people. I have previously covered events with Rob Lowe, Clint Eastwood, Carlos Santana, Magic Johnson, and local celebrities like Mayor Kevin Johnson, to mention a few. I am privileged to have photographed, and recently I attended a very special event for a very special lady.
Many may know Brandi Glanville from the Real Housewives series, but she is also an accomplished author. I was fortunate enough to be a part of a meet and greet book signing for her second book: Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance. I also got a signed copy for my library, which I can’t seem to put down now.
Ms. Glanville was on hand to support the P.E.O. Foundation, whose mission is to provide assistance and help for educating women across the globe. The event was co-chartered with the P.E.O. Chapter EB President, Gloria Langley in nearby Lincoln, California.
The event was held at a building right next to Roseville, California, Barnes and Noble because the attendees out numbered the space Barnes and Noble could comfortably allow . What made the event even more special was the generosity of Ms. Glanville. The sheer turnout of support for Ms. Glanville’s book was impressive – beating attendance at the Los Angeles and New York signings.
Ms. Glanville took the opportunity to show her appreciation in a very special way to all of us who attended. She chose to cancel a flight home specifically to meet all who were in attendance, pose for photographs and sign books. Ms. Glanville’s return to her hometown Sacramento proved to be a success and worth the trip out from Los Angeles.
For a photographer, this was a great chance to get some quality pictures for my portfolio.
