Joey C. at Punchline in Sacramento
Sometimes I’m fortunate enough to take photos at amazing events. In this case, I was able to sit through such an incredibly entertaining comedy show Joey C. Comedy Performance at Punchline in Sacramento. Here, I was lucky enough to take photos of Joey C. while he displayed his amazing comedic chops. This was such an awesome experience and I got to enjoy some great live comedy as well.
The way Joey C. graces the stage is amazing to watch. His on stage charisma is something that I tried to capture in every image of him. He is a unique personality and this image is a great way to show off how important every set is for him to perform. Joey C. is a natural on the stage and he is hilarious to watch.
Here is a side view of Joey C. working his comedy magic in the crowd. I love the way that this image shows Joey C. engaging with the audience as he entertains them. The way that the light frames him in this image shows his standing tall and confidently while working through his set.
Nothing like a smile knowing that one of his jokes landed! The joy on his face shows that he is right where he belongs on that stage telling jokes. I wanted to make sure that not only did I capture Joey C. in his true element, but also to feature the amazing backdrop for his set.
This is a straight on shot as Joey C. engages with his audience during his set. You get a good view of not only the full range of that gorgeous backdrop, but you see the audience intently looking on as he performs. This image also gives a great shot of Joey C.’s presence on the stage. From his attire to his body language, Joey C. is a true artist on that stage.
There’s something about the way a spotlight hits a person and creates a shadow on the backdrop. A great comedian doesn’t just work through their jokes, they interact with and engage their audience. This is what makes the difference between a good entertainer and an excellent one. He is a presence that the audience is entranced by.
It isn’t just about the jokes for Joey C. You can see that he truly cares about the fans who support him on his comedy journey. Here he is on stage as he embraces a fan that seems extremely happy for this moment. The little things are what makes a person a great person.
It was such an honor to be invited to photograph Joey C. while he performed his hilarious set. It’s always great to see another artist excelling in their craft on stage. I am truly thankful for this experience and I enjoyed every second of taking these shots. I hope that I captured Joey C.’s essence while he was up on that stage, entertaining the audience.
