One of my favorite ways to make wedding photographs really meaningful and romantic is to photograph them in a natural setting. Amanda and Desi’s wedding shoot is a perfect example. Putting their formal, classic style out in the pasture, with the water and large oak trees as the background brought bright texture and energy to their photos. The glam country feel made these wedding photos unique, and it also fit perfectly into the couple’s love of the country, shown through a special sneak peek of Amanda’s funky, flirty cowboy boots hidden under the layers of her classic gown. I love that we could highlight this little romantic detail.
Amanda and Desi chose a mostly classic look, with hints of modern fun seen in the details of the matching wedding Converse sneakers embroidered with “Wifey” and “Hubby”, something that comes directly from their fun personalities. Bringing out these little details in the photos is a fun way to make the shoot unique and truly capture the couple’s nature.
My favorite part about this shoot was the true love that exuded from the couple. Amanda and Desi truly love each other, and it came out in every frame, especially the candid shots. Quite a few photos were stolen from cute, romantic moments between them. The love they shared was written all over their faces and in their body language. My favorite shot of entire session came when Desi was holding Amanda’s hand, leading her through the field. She has her dress hiked up on one side and is flowing beautifully, just enough to see her custom sneakers. I just love the sweetness of this shot, and the care Desi takes in leading Amanda through the grass. It speaks volumes about how much they truly care for one another, and the trust they share.
Desi and Amanda are a wonderful couple to photograph, and I’m glad I was able to capture both the classic elegance of their wedding as well as the fun touches and details that make it so very unique. I am ecstatic for this couple, and wish them the very best for the future!
