The Importance of Professional Hair & Makeup
Photography is very important to any fashionista!! Even if you’re not a fashionista it is probably still pretty high on your list. Before your picture is taken I’m pretty sure you ask, “how’s my hair, do I have something in my teeth, how does this or that look!?” Admit it because you know it’s true…taking professional or impromptu photos makes you second guess your appearance because you want to look your best. Which is great and you should want your picture to look phenomenal; especially your senior pictures.
Hiring a professional hair and makeup artist or MUA as it is referred to these days, can be expensive, but, it is totally worth it! There are plenty of professional hair and makeup artists in your local area looking for an opportunity make a difference not only in your photos but in your life. Let’s speak the truth here; when we pamper ourselves it makes us feel like a queen! Just thinking about the various emotions we exude during the process and after the process it brings a smile to our face (which is much needed for pictures). So, how do we feel? Happy, excited, beautiful, relaxed, and plenty of other words to describe the love and positivity we experience.
Not having professional services for senior pictures, family pictures, or any pictures changes our attitude. There is a significant difference in our personality when we have a professional to assist us. Yes, we may wear makeup or hair extensions to hide imperfections but more importantly we wear it because it makes us feel good. If we feel good then we will look good. This is a lesson learned from personal experience. We are more confident in ourselves now that those imperfections (if any) are hidden, we are more aware of who we really are and how we feel about ourselves, we are able to exude the most beautiful smile anyone has seen. Now, think about how you feel when you do not have on makeup or have our hair done properly or when it’s not applied “correctly.” We are less confident, unhappy, and we probably have a don’t care attitude. This is not what we want to portray in our images so why not pay for a professional that can ease this resentment.
As highlighted in an International Business Times article, makeup has magical powers. Depending on what look you are going for it can make you look professional or unprofessional. Professional makeup and hair whether for your senior pictures or professional life (maybe a job), brings about trust, a sense of importance, reliability, and other positivity. Having the ability to create a lifestyle where people trust and believe in you just by looking at your photo is magical within itself. If you take the proper steps during your high school pictures you can certainly utilize these same images in the near future to apply for jobs or post on your social media profiles to show you are in fact trust worthy and professional. Create a magical experience for yourself in the present time that will last for a lifetime and hire a professional hair and makeup artist. Take note of the difference it will make in your life and others around you.
