Free Flow Academy
Recently there was a Free Flow Academy Workshop that I attended, which was breathtaking to say the least. The sheer talent of these athletes was astonishing and made for some very exciting pictures. This workshop is great because it shows off the immense talents that these athletes have in a variety of different areas. As you look through these images, you will see their magnificent strength and grace while they are doing these activities that they have worked hard to excel in.
This image here, shows a strong female warrior engaged in a battle of swords and other weaponry. Fiercely taken on her opponent, this moment of sparring between these two talented individuals shows a high level of intensity that is necessary to excel in their field. The smoky background was the perfect backdrop for this photo, adding to the already fiery dynamic that was going on in this photograph.
In this picture, you can see the stunning grace of this dancer as she practices her art. Her form is flawless and she is intently focusing on every movement that she makes. This shows an intense level of concentration and seriousness about her craft. She is working very hard to hone her skills, one movement at a time. In this elegance is an intense energy about this artist.
Who says that you cannot be intense, graceful, with a touch of spunk? Rather than a simple, black outfit this dancer opted for something that helped her stand out a little more. She is exhibiting a great deal of color while showing off a graceful form as she moves around. The sunbeams coming in are a perfect natural highlight to this image, creating a stunning balance in the photo of a dark background with a ray of light.
Working together as part of a team is crucial in any activity that requires more than one person for the art. In this image, you can see each person perfectly poised and working together as they move. Each person here plays an important part in their art. If one person falls out of place, the beauty and form of this piece fails. That is what makes this such an incredible thing to look at.
This could be something that comes right out of an action movie. The smoky background is a great way to highlight this warrior and his fiery nunchaku. Using nunchaku is an artform in itself, which is enhanced by this photograph’s smoky imagery. There is a lot of focus that is required to use these tools, especially while they are on fire, something that you can see in this warrior’s face.
Attending this workshop was such an amazing experience for me to capture. There was a lot of beauty to be seen here and it was a sincere honor to be able to capture these scenes. Every image exemplifies the intense grace in these artforms while also showing that sometimes warriors require the same grace and elegance as dancers all genres.
