Sammy Hagar in Roseville!

I love Van Halen. I love most of the 1980’s music too. When Sammy Hagar stepped in with Van Halen, I was beyond thrilled.

I was again on hand to photograph, not to be a fan, Sammy’s Island Bar and Grill. Okay, I fanned out for a wee bit. Okay, it was a lot. Okay, I was swooning like a pre-teen girl at a One Direction concert.  Anyway, back to the point.

Sammy’s, and the Vernon Street Town Square were coming together to help the Placer County Food Bank. Hagar was going to have a special concert featuring his former band, Montrose. This was, for those who do not know the band that helped Sammy rise to future rock stardom.

The Bar had closed for some time, and the Hagar family had no vested interest. They have re-established the bar, the rights and ownership, and the family is working hard to turn it around for the better. Meanwhile, the concert was to raise money and awareness for the re-opening and the Food Bank.

The Placer County Food Bank is a member of a network of food banks that help the hungry with perishable and non-perishable food items. It is one of the largest charities in the Placer, El Dorado and Nevada counties, and the largest hunger charity of them all.

I love helping my community, philanthropies and anything to help a mainstreet community like the one in Roseville. The fact Sammy Hagar was there was just icing on the cake.

Meanwhile, I want to remind you all about two important events coming your way soon: Homecoming and Christmas. I still have time slots available for sittings. If you want to get some professional photos for either event, let me know. I am happy to work with you.

Excuse me for a bit; I have to look at my Sammy Hagar pictures.
