Sutter Roseville Pediatrics
It has been a very busy summer with my clients, shooting various weddings, events and more. Even though it is hard to schedule, I do try to make time to work with my local nonprofits, small businesses doing community outreach and fundraising organizations.
Sutter Roseville Pediatrics hosted a safety seminar for kids, local children were invited to participate in conjunction with the Sutter Roseville Pediatrics and the Sutter Medical Foundation. Safe Kids Placer County very generously donated bike helmets, car seats and life jackets for the children who were in attendance. Each child had the opportunity to learn about proper safety and the correct use of their new safety equipment. This year’s event was the most successful yet, and there were more helmets and jackets given away than ever before.
Sutter Roseville Pediatrics’ mascot, Rufus, was also there bringing lots of cheer and excitement to some of the patients and their friends. He even posed for some cute pictures with the crew who helped organize the event. The kids absolutely loved him and one little girl just kept coming back for more hugs and high fives, really some of the moments they shared playing together were priceless. I feel lucky to have been there to capture it!!
I always enjoy shooting events like this one. There is something very captivating about the excitement on the faces of the children and organizers that make the pictures extra special. Candid shots, unlike posed, have a certain magic all their own, and I love capturing these unplanned moments of the day too.
