Thor Themed – Make a Wish!

When it comes to photography I’d say I cover most of the basics on a fairly regular basis so when I was approached to do a Thor themed shoot for the Make A Wish Foundation I jumped at the opportunity. Getting to work on a project like this is one of a kind but […]

Wedding – Chay and Lila

I always love photographing a wedding but being part of Chay and Lila’s big day was one of the best I’ve ever done. There’s something about taking part in a wedding where the bride and groom want to have fun both on the day and in the pictures and that’s exactly what these guys did. […]

How to prepare for an engagement session

A wedding is, without a doubt, one of the most important days in a person’s life. Mike & Mary’s Classic Country Wedding

Mike & Mary’s Classic Country Wedding had all of the sophistication of a classic white wedding, with a fun country twist. Held at The Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, California, the ceremony was a relaxed but elegant outdoor event, with cocktails and an indoor reception in the banquet room to follow. The warm, sunny weather and beautiful California scenery made for a wonderful day.
The bride wore a classic white lace dress, with a slim, sleeveless silhouette, while the groom wore a black embellished jacket, black cowboy hat, and cowboy boots. The bridesmaids wore mid-length light taupe colored flowy dresses, and the groomsmen wore tan vests over white shirts, and light wash jeans. The entire wedding party wore cowboy boots. The southern country attire was a fun reflection of the couple’s personal style and lent a laid back and fun attitude to the proceedings.

The decor during the ceremony was understated and rustic, with small lanterns on tables as well as hanging lights and chandeliers. Clear hallow glass ornaments along with stings of crystals hung from the large oak under which they were married. The lanterns were also centerpieces on the tables during the reception. The flowers were red, white and yellow flowers, which accentuated the bright and fun style of the wedding. Cocktail hour featured a cute lemonade stand, as well as access to the club’s classic bar and cocktails.

The reception was very chic and classic, with white fabric and chandeliers on the ceiling, as well as other white and cream decor throughout the tables. The cake was a bundt cake with a fun M&M sign, and there was a full dessert table with various options to choose from. Overall, the celebration was classic, yet had fun details that incorporated the couples’ personal style.
